Get water off the site

Drainage That Keeps Water Moving

Standing water ruins gravel lots, undermines pavement and finds its way into buildings. The fix is usually a mix of grading and underground drainage that carries water where it is supposed to go.

We install and replace culverts, catch basins, storm lines and drain tile, then grade the surface so water actually reaches them. We work on commercial and industrial sites, rural and acreage properties, and residential lots.

Signs you need drainage work

  • Water pooling in a yard, lot or driveway after every rain
  • A culvert that is crushed, plugged or too small
  • Ice build-up in the same spots every winter
  • Water running toward a building instead of away from it

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a permit to replace a driveway culvert?

Culverts in municipal ditches often need approval from your municipality or RM. Check with them first. We can tell you what information they usually ask for.

What size culvert do I need?

It depends on how much water the ditch carries. Your municipality may specify a size. Otherwise we size it based on the ditch and the existing crossing.

Can you fix water pooling in our gravel lot?

Yes. Most pooling is fixed by regrading the lot and, where needed, adding a catch basin or culvert to carry water away.

Do you do residential drainage too?

Yes. We regrade yards and install drain lines for homeowners. See our yard grading and drainage page.
